Happy Wednesday and Happy 1st November. Two months left of 2023 - wowsers!
Before I share with you some excellent books that I think would make fabulous gifts I wanted to let you know that for the first three days of November all 12 packs of Adapt Drinks are 25% off. I only run sales twice a year and this is the biggest sale I have ever done so you don't want to miss out.
Now is the perfect time to stock up on drinks that will help you relax, soothe the stress and provide a great tasting non alcohol alternative as we head into the fun but often full on festive season.

I love buying and receiving books for Christmas. Until last year we had a tradition in our family where the kids would buy each other books for Christmas. I started this when they were young and didn’t have any money of their own to buy gifts but I wanted to have the tradition that they all shared gifts.
They would help choose the books for each other and they would write messages inside the books. I love it so much when I pick up a book and look inside it and see the messages written. They are funny, heartwarming and capture moments in time with their handwriting and their little sayings.
Last year the kids wanted to change things up as all except one had employment of some form and wanted to buy different things other than books so I went with what they wanted. They now buy gifts with their own money and I love seeing how they really try to get gifts that are something a little different but suits that sibling.
The list I published on the blog today is for non fiction adult books but if you are after some ideas for kids’ books you can check out these posts:
Book lists and audiobook lists for kids - this post links to all the lists I wrote for younger kids (mostly under 10)
10 Non Fiction Books For Christmas Presents 2023 is a selection of books from my current wishlist. Many of which I have on reserve at the local library (Killing for Country I am 57 of 73 reservations!). It is a mix of new releases like Killing for Country and older titles that I have only recently come across. I haven’t read any of them yet, so if you have read any of them, please leave a comment and let me know what you thought.
Have a great rest of the week.
