Christmas themes and FIFA World Cup Flag Activity
Hello! How has your week been? Mine has had a very productive start which is always a good feeling.
Before I share some new posts on the blog, I wanted to let you know that I will be at Soul Geelong Cafe on Saturday 26th November doing free tastings for Adapt Drinks so if you live that way or will be in the area, please pop in and say hello, I would love to see you!
With the countdown to Christmas in full swing (7 weeks to go!) I have shared on the blog some Christmas theme ideas for 2022. As I note in the post the intent of curating these theme ideas is not to get you out to the shops buying more stuff but to give you ideas of what you can do with what you already have. You might not use a theme idea in its entirety but use the table setting idea from one and the wreath idea from another for example - it is really an inspiration board style post. We are going with a pink and red Christmas theme this year. We already have a pink Christmas tree and red decorations so one large part of it is all sorted!
Head here to see the themes for this year - Pantone Colour of the Year – Very Peri, Australian, and Nativity plus links to other theme ideas posts I have written over the last 10 plus years.
Since 2014 I have been putting together a flag-based activity post for the FIFA World Cup. You can find the 2022 post here - FIFA World Cup 2022 flags activity for kids. This FIFA World Cup has been more controversial than most. There have been many issues raised about how Qatar won the games, what has happened as they have built the infrastructure for the games and the human rights record of Qatar. The Australian Soccer team has released a video statement that is really worth watching and I highly recommend doing so with your kids. You can watch it here – Socceroos statement.
Have a great rest of the week!
