Starting the week with a clear focus on what you need to achieve especially if you are in lockdown can make a huge difference to how your week goes. While I have said you only need to share your key focus goal for the week, if you are in lockdown I would highly recommend still writing up all three for yourself.
In an article on the Corona Virus section of the Beyond Blue website psychologist Sabina Read discusses how important routine and purpose is during lockdowns:
These routines create circuit breakers throughout the day. It just offsets all the uncertainty by knowing that at 7.30 every morning I lie down on my yoga mat on my living room floor with my dog.
We can’t control the bigger picture but we can control how we break down our day. It’s these smaller things that are seemingly less urgent and less powerful that are actually the building blocks that create a sense of stability to help us navigate today.
Writing down your key tasks for your week and even planning out when you will work on them can help make lockdown more bearable.
Tasks to achieve for the week to help work towards my personal goal
Victoria is slated to end its lockdown on Tuesday at midnight. I am not sure we will get out then and would rather anticipate we are going to be in lockdown all this week and then be pleasantly surprised if we do get out on time! Here are my personal tasks for the week:
Read Ransom by David Malouf - this is our daughter’s year 12 book. I like to read the books the kids have for school so I can chat with them about it.
Find a lockdown routine to fit in my meditation - make sure I meditate each day.
Catch up on reading for my faith activity - be up to date by the end of the week.
Tasks to achieve for the week to help work towards my business goal
I have some key decisions to make this week. It can be very easy to put on the to-do list “make a decision about……” but unless you note what you need to do next you can spend the whole week just making the decision and not taking action. Yes, you need to allow time to make a considered decision but it is not enough to spend all week on making the decision and not actually taking any action. Make sure you create your own deadlines or make sure you meet the outside deadlines you have with the need to make a decision.

Tasks to achieve for the week to help work towards my health and fitness goal
I am one-week post-marathon and it takes much more than a week to recover properly from a marathon. If you are after some tips on marathon recovery this is a good article:
The marathon is such a significant challenge for the body that it takes time to recover usual muscle function. Studies have shown reduced muscle strength, especially in the first 5-7 days post marathon, and muscle fiber repair continues for 3-4 weeks post marathon.
As such here is my health and fitness focus for the week:
Follow the plan from my coach for running this week and listen to my body making sure it is okay with the load.
Do activation exercises before running and stretch/yoga after running.
Take advantage of lockdown to get more sleep.
NOW it is your turn!
I want to hear what your goal is and what tasks you are going to be working on NOW - this week to make progress towards your goal by leaving a comment on this post.
A reminder that you only need to list tasks for the goal that is your prime focus at the moment e.g. either personal, work/business or health and fitness. I only share all three so you can find an area you can relate to and look at the way I am tackling it. But if you would like to list goals for all three you are most welcome to do so.
Also, you can simply list the tasks, you don’t have to write details about them if you don’t want to. I do so to give some insight into how it all fits into my overarching goal.
And you can ask me questions in the comments too! You can ask me questions about:
the tasks I have set
my goals and habits
how to tackle your goal
productivity or organisation tips
online biz issues
I cannot wait to see what you are up to!

I erroneously had the wrong link for comments in the email, so I am adding Mia's comments for this week here:
Thrilled to be part of this initiative, Nic - accountability works!
Mia's business tasks:
- write up coaching packages
- publish coaching packages on website
- post about coaching packages to Binders FB group, OneRoof and friends
And here are Teri's
Hi Nicole, my goal this week is to take advantage of my kids not having any extracurricular stuff (due to lockdown) and do some activities together. The tasks so far include baking a cake with my daughter after school tomorrow and going with my son for a bike ride or to shoot some hoops at the local basketball court.
